What will it take for a classical pianist to achieve a successful career similar to Rubinstein or Horowitz?

You don’t really hear much about solo pianists in the present like you did Rubinstein and Horowitz. What set them apart? How did they get to such a level of recognition? What would it take for a pianist today to become as much of a household name as they were? I know it doesn’t happen overnight, but what factors contributed to their success? (obviously they were great performers, so please, no no-brainer answers like that…)

    The attention and of those performers were famous think it is something that these people sense if one of those.
